February 13th - 15th

Happy Family Day!

This past week was a short one...but a very busy one!!!

Learning Intentions:
- Children examine healthy relationships in learning and playing environments

I Can:
- describe and practice friendship

The Monday/Wednesday Kinder students did a fantastic job at their assembly - thank you again to the families who were able to come and join us! Together with the Grade 2's, students highlighted the importance of kindness and Pink Shirt Day, which is coming up on Feb. 22nd. Thank you to both Kinder classes for their hard work on making kindness posters to put up around the school and for creating the beautiful Kindness Tree as a place where everyone can share their acts of kindness!

We have been talking about relationships based on shared interests, shared experiences, and by always showing kindness and mutual respect towards others. Healthy relationships can help us feel loved, cared for, respected and valued. Our classroom community is a safe place for ALL of our feelings - as we continue to practice supporting, comforting and cheering each other on. We remind each other to stand tall and be proud, to try our best even when it is hard, and to never give up!

~ ~ REMINDER ~ ~
